How to auto-populate Address field on Resident Sign Up

Created by James Reitz, Modified on Sun, 10 Aug at 5:22 PM by James Reitz

Municipal users may occasionally wish to share a sign-up link with residents where the Address field is already pre-filled. Civify supports this functionality through the use of a query parameter in the URL.

When configured, the provided link will automatically populate the Address field on the resident sign-up page, saving residents time and improving data accuracy.

Format:

https://anytown.civify.io/signup?address=*TYPE ADDRESS HERE WITH SPACES*

Example link:

https://anytown.civify.io/signup?address=300 Burns Blvd Fort Wayne, IN 46807 United States

  1. In the URL, type your desired address after the = sign in the address query parameter.

    1. Example: https://anytown.civify.io/signup?address=300 Burns Blvd Fort Wayne, IN 46807 United States

  2. Copy, paste, and open the URL you created in your browser.

  3. The Address field on the sign-up page will automatically be filled with the address you entered in the URL.
